What’s new?!

Long time, no see! I’ve been busy outside work, hence the lack of updates. So what’s new?

Quickly summarised, I’ve bought property, replaced a heating system, planned a kitchen and a loft conversion, wrangled with wi-fi companies, launched a creative sideline business and burned myself out. Phew!

Ashleigh is now working split between Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Headache/Migraine service and Anaesthetics in Neuro/Maxillofacial theatre. She is currently about to embark on her Masters degree in advanced practice. Once she’s got the prescribing module under her belt, she will no longer require me around in clinic and will be working autonomously. I suspect I’ll still be there at times just for the chat though!

Megan is currently consolidating her skills in toxin and is finding her niche. She specialises in post-menopausal faces and is exploring advanced techniques such as hyperhidrosis treatment.

Ashleigh A left the industry about 6 months ago to concentrate on her full time position as a Health Visitor. We wish her all the best!

The clinic as a whole has had a few small changes. What’s new in clinic? Well, I’ve dropped the deposit to £30 to be in line with consultation costs. T&Cs have changed slightly for new patients, meaning that deposits will be kept as a cancellation fee for short notice cancellations. Repeat patients will have to pay a deposit if rescheduling at short notice.  See more information here: Terms and Conditions

I’m currently exploring the idea of an online booking system once again. However, the free time I have is minimal so who knows when that will actually happen.

I’m also on annual leave 29 September – 12 October to have a new kitchen put in at home. In the run up to that I won’t be booking in new patients as I won’t be able to see you at two weeks. If you are a regular and often require a little tweak, bear this in mind and try to book when I’ll be available to review you.
