Teenage Acne Treatment Programmes

Treatment focus

Medical grade skin treatments aren't just for adults

My background is in General Practice where I treated a lot of minors with skin complaints.

Last year I applied to Healthcare Improvement Scotland to lower the standard treatment age limit of 18 in clinics down to 14 for my clinic in Troon. My protocols were approved and now allow me to treat Acne in over 14s using chemical peels, Phototherapy and medical grade skincare. My insurance also covers this due to previous experience in this area.

The clinic has various treatment protocols from mild-severe acne. Cystic acne must however be seen by a Dermatologist for systemic treatment.

Treatment Regime

Chemical peels for teens are every 3-4 weeks and LED Phototherapy is ideally twice a week. This means an appointment schedule can be difficult to maintain. Payment for each programme is required upfront.
