Restore and Strengthen thinning hair

The hair strengthening treatment programme consists of 7-8 treatments of injectable polynucleotides over a course of 6 months to help strengthen hair, nourish scalp and prevent rapid hair loss. It is recommended that DNA testing is undertaken before embarking on this programme to assess likelihood of efficacy and to see which topicals/supplements may complement treatment.

This is ideal for perimenopausal or hypothyroid women who are finding their hair weakening and thinning. It can also help certain types of alopecia by restimulating dormant follicles. It is excellent for helping thinning caused by traction of hair extensions (providing the extensions are removed while the hair recovers). Polynucleotides are recommended by many surgeons to strengthen follicles before and after hair transplant.

Treatment aims to extend the Anagen phase of hair growth by strengthening the hair bulbs and follicles. It also focuses on collagen/elastin renewal and strengthening of the scalp. This in turn should lessen the shedding phase and lead to stronger hair. Results vary significantly depending on causes of hair loss

DNA testing

DNA testing assesses your DNA pathways for synthesising collagen, and also your likelihood of responding to certain topicals like Minoxidil, Caffeine shampoo or Latanoprost. This type of testing is invaluable if being referred to a specialist hair clinic for transplant or more specialist hair therapy.

The Hair Strengthening programme consists of 4 initial treatments 2 weeks apart, and then 3 treatments 1 month apart. Any regrowth can take up to 4-6 months. If you have brittle or weak hair, you should brush with a Tangle Teezer or a paddle brush to prevent breakage. Avoid tight ponytails or buns to prevent tension on the roots.
